Here is a little afternoon pick-me-up for everyone. It’s a good tune, with sweet beats, and a funny video that totally reminds me of my brother, Frankie… just watch, you’ll agree.

Okay, this is a pretty complicated topic, but when combined with an English narrator (audio) and a sweet motion graphic (visual) the information suddenly becomes manageable. This video by Patrick Clair brings to life the very real threat of digital warfare.
So well done. Thank you, this is beautiful…
The video was made by Everynone in collaboration with WNYC | Radiolab. Definitely go to the Everynone site and check out WORDS, MOMENTS, and the other films. They are all very moving. And by moving I mean they put goosebumps on my arms and a smile on my face.
Last week Adidas lauched their new campaign “adidas is all in” with a sweet ad video. A few days later Nike launched what seemed like a rebuttal. Both video’s are shown below…
The adidas video is awesomely synced to a Justice track Civilization, with some nice cameos by Katy Perry and Chicago’s very own Derrick Rose.
Nike, on the other hand, makes a “recycled” ad which features a mash-up of old ads with a pretty inspiring monologue playing throughout. I hope Nike really does practice what they preach, because those last few lines are very convincing.
Check out this video series by Clemento. I love the use of typography, and the clip transitions are pretty sweet too. They also did a wonderful job with the sound editing, it’s very crisp. Clemento calls this a special place where “unseen microcosms within a unseen universe bind us together.” How lovely…and meta.
On a side note – it’s really interesting these videos crossed my path because I have been contemplating getting a another lens for my DSLR and I’ve had my eye on this macro lens. Hmm, are the macro gods trying to make a point?!
Solar Beat by White Vinyl Design is an interactive infographic that educates the viewer about orbit ratios in our solar system. Along with the mod design, the viewer can control the “tempo” of the orbits. There is even a clicker at the bottom to compare the planets. See it here.

While perusing the WV Design site I also found this photo shoot called “Micro Fantasy” and had to share…

What a thoughtful series of documentaries. The project Fifty People One Question is an exploration of “human connection through people and place.” For example one question is, “where would you like to wake up tomorrow morning?” Some had extravagant answers and other wished to wake up in the same comforting place as always. The music and editing are striking, and really pull you into sincerity of the interviewees.
Sorry, there have been a lack of posts this week. There is an intense side project I have been working on. I wanted to share this hilarious poem with you. Taylor Mali, the poet, does an incredible job of delivering the poem. Happy Weekend!
Info graphics + motion graphics = … well, let’s just say you have my attention. Isn’t it incredible how figures in the billions are now the norm, and how “trillion” is on it’s way to being the norm. I wonder how much more impact those numbers would have if they were shown as 1,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000,000 instead of one million and one trillion.
