Sorry for not posting in a while, I’ve had quite a busy April.

But I’m back with lots to share! Maybe even too much? – nah…
A favorite past time of mine is searching for new bands. And music festival line-ups are no doubt the prime scene for sampling. I found these guys Rogue Wave on the Lollapalooza line-up. At first I thought they were from the midwest with songs like “Lake Michigan” and “Chicago x 12″ but it turns out they are from Oakland, CA – nice. They’ve been around since 2004, and just released their latest album, Permalight, this past March.
Cool Hunting produced this video segment about Oakland and used a word-of-mouth technique to find what locals like. I’ve been to many places they mentioned, like Bake Sale Betty’s. However, this four-minute clip is the a mere glimpse of Oakland hot spots. For all of you non-Bay people I used to live a block away from the beautiful lake you see throughout the clip. I “hella” miss Oakland, but I’m happy I found this!
